About The Campaign
"What we have witnessed early in 2006, starting with the offensive Cartoons published in several European newspapers and the violent reaction by some muslims across the world makes it a duty on every muslims to help introduce the true picture of the beloved prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to the world around us, introduce it the way islam and the prophet Muhammad taught us to. In the Quran, Islam's revealed text, God states: "Invite (all) to the way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching, and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knows best who have strayed from His Path and who receive guidance." (16:125)"

The Islamic Education & Services Institute & the Chattanooga Muslims teams have decided to positive response to these cartoons those were published initially in Denmark and start a year long campaign to get people to know the prophet.
The Campaign will consist initially of the following steps (God Willing):
- Launch this web site www.knowtheprophet.com
- Send a massive mail out (500-1000 letters) to the Chattanooga area Media firms, reps, politicians, schools, universities and colleges telling them about this initiative.
- Start a new free package by mail service for non muslims titled "know the prophet" that will include information about the prophet (pbuh).
- Print and distribute a flyer about the prophet's life (Peace Be Upon Him), sayings and the educated western view of him.
- Print and distribute many other publications included brochures and booklets.
- Host several DVD shows, lectures and events about the prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), do it around once a month.
- Send a package to area libraries, universities, and schools with several books and a DVD about the prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) to show to their students.
- Prepare a table display that can be used across the area by any person that wants to tell his group, school, or church about the prophet.
